In the previous section, we looked at different seed dispersal mechanisms which contribute to how individual seeds spread. Now let’s think about weed populations or communities and how they spread. In the following video clip, Dr. Namuth-Covert describes a concept called the seedling recruitment effect.  She explains how this effect works and what the implications are for agricultural crop production systems.
