When working with any type of agriculture system that involves plants, weeds will always be a threat.  This would be true of field crops, rangeland, forage crops, vegetable crops, orchards, etc.  Finding the best ways to manage the weeds can be a challenge.  Even browsing the internet for ideas can be overwhelming to know what information is based on solid research and which may hold an inherent bias or may not be applicable to your situation.  In this chapter we will explore how to evaluate the credibility and reliability of weeds science information and research resources.   We will also demonstrate how to search The Ohio State online library resources for different weed science research and how to cite the articles when writing papers.  We will conclude the chapter by discussing how The Ohio State University College of Food Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has prioritized investments they made in agricultural research investments.
