The perfume and wine industry also made reference to a scent wheel and flavor wheel. This flavor wheel is a holistic overview of flavors in general, there is also research indicating four basic flavor profiles, sweet, sour, salty, and bitter. 

For my project, I had four ice cream flavors picked to match the four flavors profiles. I conducted informal discussions and created flavor profiles for the four flavors. However, I only moved forward with two flavors for the motion graphics. Choosing only two flavors allowed me toshow proof of concept while focusing on the details.
