Overall, Wikipedia is regarded as a reliable and commonly used source of information in Greece. They have recently hit 200,000 articles and continue to grow by approximately 15,000 articles yearly. Greek Wikipedia has 302,201 registered users, 1,289 of them being active, and with 22 administrators. Greek Wikipedia also receives about 30 million page views per month, which relative to Greece’s population of about 10.7 million is significant. In terms of quality of information, Wikipedia is referred to as a good source of information in Greece. Greek Wikipedia has received extensive coverage from Greek-language press for its actions, and articles from Greek Wikipedia are also often included in Greek news articles or websites, meaning it is clearly viewed as a trustworthy source in Greece. However, the criticism that Wikipedia has faced occasionally in Greece relates to their views of politics-related articles and accusations that they have a non-neutral point of view, however these criticisms are common for Wikipedia and are not exclusive to the Greek specific Wikipedia.

The information for Greece is split into 6 main sections on the Greek Wikipedia page. These sections are history, geography, politics, economy, demographics, and culture. This does not vary much from a typical Wikipedia page on any other country, except for the emphasis placed on Ancient Greece. A relatively large portion of the page is dedicated to ancient history, and there are many other Wikipedia pages dedicated to Ancient Greece and popular figures, events, and landmarks from this era. It appears as if most edits on Greek Wikipedia come from Greece, although there are some from various other countries around the world, especially North America and Western Europe. This is likely due to Greek language speakers immigrating to these parts of the world.
