To find this source, I googled the most popular newspapers in  Finland. https://www.helsinkitimes.fi/

I choose this site because it is one of the most popular news sites in Finland. Another benefit is it is an English-language newspaper, which means I don’t have to translate the text.

Iltalehti – the most popular Finnish news website that provides coverage of local and international news, sports, entertainment, and lifestyle content. To find this source, I googled the most popular news outlets in Finland. https://finlandtoday.fi/

I decided to choose Finland Today for multiple reasons. First, they catered towards non-Finnish residents, explaining topics that aren’t explained if they are only presenting to people living in Finland. Also, I was intrigued by their opinion pieces in English.

thisisFINLAND – the official Twitter account of Finland’s public diplomacy, managed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The account aims to promote Finnish culture, innovation, and society to an international audience, as well as to provide news and insights into Finnish current affairs. It features a variety of content, including news articles, photos, videos, and infographics, as well as tweets on topics such as education, healthcare, design, and technology. The account has over 150,000 followers and is updated regularly with new content. It is a valuable resource for anyone interested in learning more about Finland and its culture.

to find this source, I was browsing Twitter looking for respectable Finnish news outlets. https://twitter.com/thisisFINLAND

I decided to choose thisisFINLAND because of the unique stories they tweet. From astonishing nature to inspirational art, this page truly had it all.

For most of my news sources, I was able to use Google. They gave me plenty of news outlets in a ranked order, making my job easy. When searching for international information I learned that different cultures have different ways of presenting and interpreting information. What is considered important or relevant in one culture may not be in another. My plan for adding additional sources is to continue to use Google. I only covered a few of the news outlets Google gave me, as there are plenty more to investigate.
