I chose this method to visualize this data in order to illustrate an issue that is brought up in the article published by the Human Rights Watch which identifies that Egypt is not giving out information or details about a overwhelming amount of their arrests and prisoner statistics. Each graph further breaks down the small fraction of data known about the prisoner population in Egypt, an majority of which is comprised of people charged with sentences related to political crimes, which can be found as vagues as best from the definitions given by the Egyptian Government. The final graph shows how much of the cases from these instances actually make it to publication. Crimes, specifically of this nature require a vigilance to details as with the sheer volume of arrests and the background of what constituted their arrests are concerning to say the least for the safety of political freedom in the country.
