This article discusses issues with water within a neighborhood in Jamaica. This discusses the issues with water within the Guisborough district in St James. The neighborhood is working on solutions to help with the water. This is not the only neighborhood struggling with the issue Guilsborough is one of three communities that have gotten water shops to supply water to the residents. Previously there were other ways for water to get to these residents, such as in 2020 however, because of its lack of use, it is not able to be used anymore. Most evidence is specific information about the issue and what is happening to help solve it. Without the use of the reservoir, for example, one has to spend $7,000 per each 1,000-gallon tank. A resident also explained that most residents will need to go at least three times a week to get what they need for water for various uses, including cooking and cleaning. Residents said that it was not always like this with water and recounted personal experiences with various quotes as evidence of times when they used to have better access to water within the community. Some residents currently even need help from friends and family to go retrieve the water that they need for the week. More work is continuing, and projects are in order to help get the water to be more accessible however, these trucks do seem to residents to be better than nothing, so hopefully, progress towards more accessible water can be completed soon.

Patricia Rose, a resident of Guilsborough in St James, uses some water to rinse one of several containers while fetching water from a reservoir in the community last week.
