About the Author

Melissa Foster is a Senior Lecturer for The School of Communication at The Ohio State University.

She completed a PhD in Communication in 2017 and teaches courses such as Media and Citizenship, The History of Communication, and Persuasive Communication. Her research focuses on utilizing mass media to persuade the general public to engage in prosocial and altruistic health behaviors.
