About the Book

This book is a draft in progress. Please note that I’ll be making changes and additions at least weekly. So at this time, I do not recommend printing the book as a pdf. Rather, it’s best to access it online so that you can see the most recent version.

I’m creating this book for a class I teach at the School of Communication at The Ohio State University. The purpose of the class is to help students learn how to engage with media in ways that promote informed, active, and responsbile citizenship. However, the book is available online to anyone for free. So, if you’d like to use some or all of it in a class you’re teaching, please feel free to do so.
