A. Un video musical.
Ahora, vas a escuchar y ver un video sobre una carta que un migrante en Estados Unidos manda a su madre. The musical genre of is known as regional mexicano. El cantante, Alex Rivera, es mexicano. Puedes seguirlo o aprender más sobre él en su página de Instagram Alex Rivera (@yosoyalexrivera)
Esta canción tiene varios elementos. Con un color, identifica cada una de estas secciones:
- Primero, un joven le pide al cantante que lleve una carta al pueblo donde vive su madre.
- Segundo, el cantante entrega la carta a la madre, pero la madre le pide que la lea.
- Tercero, podemos leer la carta que escribe el joven.
Actividad 1. Dictado. Números ordinales.
Comprensión y discusión.
- ¿Por qué le pide al cantante que lleve la carta? Why does the man ask the singer to deliver the letter to his mom?
- ¿Cómo es el pueblo del joven? How is the young man’s town?
- ¿Por qué es diferente su casa a las otras? Why is his house different from the other ones?
- ¿Qué palabras o frases usa el cantante para saludar a la madre? What words of phrases does the singer use to greet the mother?
- ¿Por qué le pide la madre al cantante que lea la carta? Why does the mom ask the singer to read the letter for her?
OJO: As the song is the story of something that happened in the past, there are many verbs conjugated in the past tense. Don’t worry too much about that verb tense, instead, focus on the details that the questions ask.
Actividad 2. Transcribing the song into a letter.
La carta en la canción está escrita en versos, vuelve a escribirla para que se lea como una carta tradicional. Repasa los pasos de cómo escribir una carta, y recuerda utilizar la puntuación necesaria.
