Book Description

This textbook introduces elements of the traditional and contemporary cultures of East Asia (mainly China, Korea, and Japan) through the lens of the humanities. It provides students with a basic, practical knowledge of key concepts and facts relating to East Asia. Each of the ten modules gives an overview of East Asia’s critical aspects, such as geography, history, worldview, art, literature, popular culture, technology and the environment, etc. These modules themselves are comprised of a combination of text and multi-media.
