56 Meet the Author

Hi, I’m Sophia Shannon! I wrote this chapter during my freshman year at The Ohio State University. I’m pursuing a major in Political Science, and environmental politics have always been of particular interest to me. Throughout the Religion and Environmental Values in America course, from the first day of class, I noticed the idea of love coming up over and over again. For this chapter I wanted to explore how love and care affect how people view religion and the environment, and I hope that the impact of emotions will continue to be explored in the future.
